I think Talbot came closer to being a habs than Lecavalier ever did.

seems to me like you're using Emelin as a crutch here EE. really solid top-4 blueliner but his absence shouldn't mean the difference you're suggesting here (similarly to Clarkson in Toronto... good player but not a difference maker).

the real question is how stubborn will Therrien be if DD and Briere can't create anything against Philly.

It's not Brieres fault if he can't play on the PK or 5 on 5, and the habs didn't have enough PP minutes for him. Just wait till the playoffs that is when Briere Shines, when surrounded by talented average sized men.

I hope he (frank)ing opens his eyes soon and sees that the kids line should have more minutes than DD and Brière...

Not hard to figure out when you look at Gionta, Gallagher, DD, Bouillon, all 5'9" or shorter.

Briere needs to play with 2 big talented forwards that shoot the puck and can carry the play, and dd needs all of that and someone to strap him to their stick so he doesn't fall down

Funny how you could replace Brière by DD in your 1st sentence and it still would be true...

and they're playing on the same line

well i don't think that's going to happen. we know he's going to give the big minutes to the vets regardless of whether or not they're producing. we just have to hope that he finds a combination that works with the other 6 forwards.
